Cosmetic surgeries get the best results after receiving manual lymph drainage shortly after the procedure.
Edema that occurs immediately following a procedure can last for several weeks to months. Manual lymph drainage is commonly recommended after procedures to speed the recovery process and improve outcome results. 5-20 sessions are usually recommended; however, this is based on a single procedure and may require additional sessions if multiple procedures were completed simultaneously. Depending on the procedure or procedures performed, once incision sites are near closure, MLD treatment can begin. Initially 2-3 visits per week are required, but then taper down to once per week then once per month. The healing process typically takes 3-6 months and manual lymph drainage can be completed throughout that time depending on discomfort and speed of recovery. Appropriate garments are also necessary with best fit and measurements necessary to capture the appropriate size.
Once you have booked an appointment with us it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you. As a courtesy, you will receive a text or call to confirm your appointment prior to your arrival. Credit card information will reserve your time. To avoid a cancellation fee, please provide a cancellation or rescheduling notice at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. You can cancel or reschedule your appointment by contacting us at 570-938-4634(HODI) and speaking with us directly. If we are not able to answer the call and you leave a message, we will return your call promptly to adjust the schedule.
Insufficient notice to cancel or reschedule any appointments at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time are subject to a $50 cancellation feel. All No Call/No Show reservations will be assessed a charge at full value of services. If you arrive late for any service, only the remainder of your time will be offered and will not spill over into the next appointment time. We do our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee a full session for any late arrivals.
